The MassiveMusic senior project manager had her mind blown in Japan, knows the best Vietnamese bite just round the corner from her office and can rustle up a show-stopping ceviche

The Essential List: Aldana Pagani
A lover of music and art, with a background in TV and commercial production, Aldana Pagani now works as a senior project manager at the MassiveMusic office in Berlin. She spent the first five years of her career working with musicians and artists at MTV, punishing her with unforgettable memories like when she interviewed Adam Levine. Here she lays her taste in art, culture and possessions bare.

Lifestyle

o Place of birth: Buenos Aires, Argentina

o Hometown: Berlin

o Vacation: Japan – especially the Naoshima and Teshima Island. A mind blowing and surreal art experience.

o Place of work: I really like our offices in Berlin Mitte. It has a store kind of concept. We are renovating at the moment and expending so, exciting times ahead.
o Side project: Watercolour painting
o Place of workout: Since lockdown I would say home
o Mode of transport: Bicycle - Still trying to get my German driving license :|

Culture

o Artist: Marina Abramović, Lee Bul, Yayoi Kusama, Frida Kahlo…
o Musician/Music: Miles Davis or any Jazz Fusion. At the moment I’m listening to Badbadnotgood a lot..
o Music video director: Guillaume and Jonathan Alric, aka The Blaze. I love all their music videos.
o Film director: Yorgos Lanthimos, Paolo Sorrentino and Mike Leigh.
o Photographer: Elfie Semotan. I discovered quite recently an artist called Sarah Bahbah. What I like about her is that she adds subtitles to her photos, making them look like film still (yeah, very Instagrammable). Her series ‘I Could Not Protect Her’ is damn good.
o Film: ‘Paris Texas’, an old favourite and a more recent one ‘Promising Young Woman’ - it has a powerful message, beautiful framing and a great soundtrack.
o Series: ‘We Are Who We Are’ - I watched it twice already ;)
o Commercial: The Epic Split - Volvo Trucks

o Video Game: Street Fighter
o Book: ‘La Resistencia’ Ernesto Sabato and ‘The Little Prince’ Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
o Music Video: FKA twigs Cellophane

o Newspaper (off or online): Primarily digital.
o Magazine: Also digital
