Chicago-based creative and strategic agency The Distillery Project (TDP) has hired strategy director Julia Oher. Julia will be leading accounts in the retail and financial services sectors, in addition to working on new business.
Julia spent more than a decade building her career at Havas Chicago, from 2011–2022, working her way up from junior strategist to strategy director, helping clients make creative work more meaningful and relevant.
Oher is a creative strategist who has worked across a variety of brands and industries throughout her career. She enjoys collaborating with creative teams and clients alike to take advantage of business-driven growth opportunities rooted in raw, relatable human emotion. Her experience spans a vast and diverse clientele, from retail and restaurants to financial and CPG products, including AutoZone, Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores, Citi, RAGÚ, Bertolli and Mike’s Hard Lemonade.
“Julia is a great combination of deep intellect, insight-based strategy and an amazing human being. All the things that make a true Distiller. We can’t wait to see her impact on the brands she’s spearheading,” said Ben Kline, founding partner, chief strategy officer at The Distillery Project.
Julia has lived in Chicago with her husband, Jake, since 2010. Together, they run an art-focused social media account (@ChicagoCultureCouple) and are currently curating their third gallery show at Vertical Gallery in Chicago, featuring more than a dozen contemporary artists from across the globe.
