The annual covers the best of european design and advertising for 2019

The Art Directors Club of Europe (ADCE) launches ‘The Annual of Annuals. Best of European Design & Advertising 2019’; an online publication to gather all European advertising and graphic design works awarded in 2019, and available as of today on the ADCE website. A total of 289 works from 25 European countries - including the 182 winning works from this year’s edition of the ADCE Awards, as well as all gold winners from local competitions of ADCE member clubs -  are featured, including videos, images and texts that provide a highly interactive user navigation.

This year the annual celebrates its 28th edition, always compiling the best European advertising. The 2019 edition compiles a total of 479 awards and gathers the resulting assessment of 60 renowned creative jurors who met in Barcelona this past November for the ADCE Awards to select the best creative works submitted in the categories: Film and Radio, Print and Outdoor, Interactive and Mobile, Graphic Design, Promotions and New Media, Integration and Innovation, European Student of the Year Young European Creative.

The annual includes a search tool that allows parsing by work, agency or creative professional and bears witness to the current state of creative excellence in Europe. It is also an invaluable source of inspiration for professionals in the visual communication field and can be of interest to the general public with special sensibility for design and advertising.

‘Viva la Vulva’ created by AMVBBDO Essity Bodyform/Libresse received the Grand Prix 2019 at the 28th edition of the Best of European Design and Advertising Awards. For centuries vulvas have been censored, objectified, and erased altogether in the name of ‘decency’. Meanwhile the recent explosion of porn has pressurised young women to believe their genitals should look a certain way: the myth of the ‘perfect’ vulva. 'Viva La Vulva' is a love song to a part of women that doesn’t get enough love. A celebration of self-love, body positivity and diversity, the film features a range of vagina-esque objects such as conch shells, fortune cookies, coin purses and more, all singing along to Camille Yarbrough’s Take Yo’ Praise (sampled in Fatboy Slim’s track Praise You).
