The collective comprises a range of initiatives and charities working within the advertising industry to provide a practical solution for APA members committed to diversity and environmental goals.
There will be representatives from ADCAN, AdGreen, BAD, Free The Bid, Inspire! EBP, Just Runners & The Prince’s Trust at the event. Each representative will give a short presentation on the initiatives and will be sticking around after the event to answer any questions you may have.
The event is aimed at allowing our members to get involved in these fantastic initiatives and to act as a hub for generating some Good Karma!
ADCAN
ADCAN Awards is a film competition for up-and-coming filmmakers who want to improve their career and the world at the same time.
AdGreen
AdGreen exists to support the advertising industry’s transition to environmentally sustainable production methods, working in collaboration with trade bodies and other industry organisations to accelerate the adoption of best practice.
BAD
BAD is a new initiative launched by the British Arrows, one of the industry’s leading awards ceremonies, aimed at celebrating diversity in our industry.
Free the Bid
Free The Bid is a non-profit initiative advocating on behalf of women directors for equal opportunities to bid on commercial jobs in the global advertising industry.
Inspire! EBP
Inspire! is an Education Business Partnership that supports the education, training and development of young people aged 3-24 from Hackney and beyond. Through a range of programmes, they provide thousands of young people with the skills they need to access and succeed in the world of work.
Just Runners
Just Runners, founded by Paul McLoone, aims to bridge the gap between the various diversity programmes in the creative industries with the links to freelance employment production.
The Prince’s Trust
The Prince’s Trust course will create a platform to arm young people, keen to enter the industry, with all the production knowledge they require to be effective both in a production company environment and on set from Day 1. Those with a proven interest in film, selected by the Prince’s Trust, will take part in weekly evening sessions, running over the course of 5 weeks.
