Black Dog Films/RSA director Adam Powell helms a video worthy of its title for British indie rock darling The 1975’s most recent single "Sex”. Remarks lead singer and guitarist Matthew Healy, "The main idea behind the video was centered on us wanting to incorporate a narrative that acted out the lyrical content of the song.”
Adam Powell does just that, documenting the love story of one disaffected young couple using unglamorous, honest portrayals of two at their most intimate paired with moments of the lovers partying and self-destructing on the streets of L.A. Narcotic-laced visions are intercut with cinematic shots of the band performing in their signature grayscale while framed in bright white neon. The Black Dog director brings one of music’s most familiar themes - sex - to new light in all its harshness and glory.
