Comedy is an under-utilised weapon in contemporary advertising, but the commercials that crack us up are the ones that stay with us the longest. And then there are the ads that just slap you in the face with an unignorable blast of WTF-ery. And, even better, are the ones that do both. While there’s no denying that ‘sadvertising’ and ‘social good’ were big trends of the 2010s, there were still plenty of ads that were perfectly puerile and satisfyingly silly. Enjoy!
