Team One Promotes Damian Areyan to New Experiential Role
Premium and luxury brand agency Team One has promoted Damian Areyan to the newly created role of Group Account Director, Experiential Marketing & Sponsorships, Executive Director, Idea Communication, Kyle Acquistapace announced today.

Previously, Areyan was Director of Experiential Marketing and he managed the agency’s experiential team that focused on regional partnerships. In his new role, he will oversee Team One’s national and regional experiential groups—a total of 30 employees.

Areyan’s promotion will better integrate data, media and social media into Team One’s experiential marketing initiatives to make them more accountable, measurable and capable of delivering ROI to the agency’s clients, which include Lexus, HSBC, the Ritz-Carlton and Dacor.

“Damian is a gifted leader who naturally brings different people together to solve complicated experiential problems,” Acquistapace said. “He makes it look easy, really. He integrates digital, PR and analytics into experiential and sponsorships for truly modern solutions.”

Areyan’s department at Team One garnered three-straight national awards from Event Marketer magazine in 2014, 2015 and 2016, and in 2017, his team created and managed over 250 experiential programs across North America. Sports Marketing is a passion, and he has worked on projects such as Super Bowl XXXV, NBA and NHL All Star Games, US Open (tennis), U.S. Open (golf) and college bowl games. He has also negotiated sponsorship contracts on behalf of clients in the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, MLS, PGA TOUR and other major sports leagues.

Areyan has spent the last 10 years leading teams for large, fully-integrated agencies. Before coming to Team One in 2012, he was Management Supervisor, Sports Marketing & Alliances at Deutsch. He also spent a decade on the property side of the sports and entertainment industry, with stops at the Green Bay Packers, AEG/Staples Center and Tiger Woods Foundation. He has worked with Lexus, American Express, PlayStation, AT&T, Volkswagen, Grey Goose, HSBC, Anheuser-Busch and many other brand clients.
