Team One and 2K nabbed three gold awards at this year's Game Marketing Awards® (GMA) for their work for 2K's The Bureau: XCOM Declassified. Awards included Standout Ad Campaign, Best Use of Music in a Promotional Piece and Best Product Announcement.
Set in 1962 during the height of the Cold War, The Bureau: XCOM Declassified's first trailer, "The Burn Room" told the story of the covert XCOM organization’s first encounter and built anticipation for the launch of The Bureau through teaser videos and a trailer that contain more than 20 Easter eggs. The 2nd installment of the campaign was the trailer “Orbit The Clown," in which you follow The Bureau agents and the missing boy from the first trailer, "The Burn Room," for a closer look into the mysterious world of The Bureau: XCOM Declassified.
The GMA is the first and only U.S. program that honors the finest work created by marketing and creative professionals in the video game marketing community. A jury of world-class entertainment and marketing professionals selected the winners on April 23rd.
