Romance and humour used to show innovations of 2013 Nissan
Nissan needs your help in the love department. To showcase some of the most innovative new features of the all-new 2013 Sentra, Nissan has launched a series of six online videos observing the humorously, jumbled courtship and romance of two characters known as Jeff and Felicia. In the videos, Nissan highlights key features of the 2013 Sentra, including the class-exclusive Easy Fill Tire Alert system, LED accent headlights, RearView monitor and its next-generation Xtronic CVT, which helps deliver a combined fuel economy of 34 MPG. All six videos are available for viewing on Nissan’s YouTube Brand Channel, including a special video message from Olympic Gold Medalist Ryan Lochte.
Nissan will also seek the public’s help and creativity to finish Jeff and Felicia’s story. Consumers can submit their most creative ending to the budding relationship through a contest tab on the Sentra Facebook page. The most imaginative entry will earn the winner round trip airfare for two to Los Angeles, two nights’ accommodations at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (where the videos are filmed), spa services for two (valued at $350 per person), a $500 gift card, and a rental car to cruise the streets of LA in style.
“The redesigned Sentra is fun, versatile and packed with bold innovations not typically found in a compact sedan. We wanted this series of short videos to demonstrate that same element of unexpected excitement in a small package,” said John Brancheau, vice president, Nissan Marketing. “The 2013 Sentra is the most innovative design in the nameplate’s 30-year history, and we believe the creativity in its interior and exterior styling should be matched with its marketing as well.”
The seventh-generation Sentra moves up in style, sophistication and refinement. The all-new design offers high-end details such as LED-accented headlights and taillights; a lightweight design (saving up to 150 pounds); new 1.8-litre engine and new-generation Xtronic CBT® with sub-planetary gear for optimal performance and efficiency; best-in-class combined fuel economy of 34 MPG*; and upscale interior craftsmanship and user-friendly technology.
As the third of five new vehicles launched during a 15-month period, the redesigned Sentra focuses on class-above design standards inside and out, as well as efficiency in engineering. Starting at $15,990, the 2012 Sentra goes on sale at U.S. Nissan dealers nationwide beginning October 16.
