Agency scores Yellow Pencil for ANZ’s Mr Humfreez work

TBWA Auckland Scores Australasia's only Yellow Pencil at the 2020 D&AD Awards

Overnight TBWA NZ picked up the only D&AD Yellow Pencil for Australasia with ANZ’s Mr Humfreez in the Direct/Direct Innovation Category. The campaign was also awarded two Wood Pencils for Product Design/Promotional and Direct/Direct Mail and a shortlist for Impact/Design/Brands.

TBWA’s chief creative officer Shane Bradnick says: “This is a big deal for the agency and a great reward for all the hustle that went into making Mr Humfreez. A big thank you to ANZ for being such a brave and innovative partner, their team has worked tirelessly on this project with us and they’ve had huge faith in the vision and purpose for Mr Humfreez.

Creating Mr Humfreez, was done with Wiktor Skoog, head of TBWA\Make, and the bio-design experts at the University of Waterloo in Canada – Mr Humfreez is essentially a smart device that can detect humidity and moisture inside a home. He’s like a cute ram made entirely of sustainable materials: wood, wool and ink.

Catherine Harris, TBWA NZ Group CEO comments: “Mr Humfreez is a magic piece of work and we are so proud of the team and our ANZ partners. Mr Humfreez delivered great results for ANZ and he is back this winter to help Kwis live in warmer, drier homes.”

Mr Humfreez keeps proving he’s the little sheep that could.
