Syneos Health Communications approached Ember Films to create a 60 second awareness film about Uveal Melanoma, a form of Cancer that develops from the eye, as part of the Immunocore ThinkInk Campaign.
With the disease spreading through the entire body the creative was based around ink that starts from the eye and spreads until it forms the shape of a liver. With Ember’s expertise in VFX, director Jonathan Jones created a beautifully unique hyperreal, immersive HDR look that underpins the impact the Ink has when travelling across the body. Complex Fluid simulations and 3D Body Tracking was required to make the Ink appear believable and really embedded on the shirt of our actor. This involved a huge amount of testing to make sure that the creative was realised as realistic as possible for this important topic. The campaign has been received incredibly well and has been shortlisted and won numerous awards including a Clio Bronze Award.
