Full Punch's campaign features a series of emotional films portraying medical staff and patients at their most vulnerable and bravest moments

Surrey Hospitals Foundation Puts on Brave Face with Unstoppable New Brand
Surrey Hospitals Foundation (SHF) introduces a new brand identity and bold positioning to deliver on its ambition to become Canada's unstoppable force for life-changing health care. SHF appointed Vancouver-based Full Punch to handle the strategy and creative duties to support the aggressive long-term fundraising plan and encourage younger donors to support the facilities.

The campaign features a series of films portraying medical staff and patients at their most vulnerable and bravest moments. Life Unstoppable is about pushing through the most challenging of situations: a doctor that has to deliver bad news, a child preparing for surgery, or a patient working tirelessly through their recovery. The videos, filmed and produced by Hardon Films, capture each individual's determination to be unstoppable.

Commenting on the work, Full Punch partner, head of creative, Chris Zawada, said: "Being on the front lines of health care isn't all smiles, especially during a pandemic. For SHF, we broke through the category convention of happy smiley doctors and patients to show real-life through the lens of authenticity. It's time to celebrate the courage and dedication of medical staff and patients and prove that with the generous support of donors, together, we are unstoppable."

At the centre of the new brand identity is a catalyst representing a donation as the spark that starts unstoppable healthcare. The seven lifelines, reflecting the seven regions of Surrey, pass through the spark's centre demonstrating the central role SHF plays in everyone's life throughout all life stages. A vibrant and contemporary colour palette paired with subtle hints of stainless steel gives the brand a feeling of cleanliness and confidence.

As the foundation behind Surrey's critical health facilities, SHF addresses the community's changing needs through the pandemic and beyond. Jane Adams, CEO of Surrey Hospitals Foundation said: "While we all recognise we're not out of the woods yet with the pandemic, our resolve demonstrates the foundation's passion for never giving up. Our new brand stance, Life Unstoppable, captures this spirit and not only motivates residents, staff and donors to give what they can, but also builds a sense of pride behind the SFH, the hospitals we support, and the growing city of Surrey."

Alongside the brand work, there will be many fundraising campaigns. SHF intends to raise $10 million for Surrey Memorial's Surgical Centre to renovate ten operating rooms and assist with recruitment and top surgical talent retention. The Children's Health Centre Campaign aims to raise $6million to create a larger, family-friendly space with more clinics for outpatients and a dedicated area for kids who need daycare procedures.
