Company also announces it's going "All Comedy"

Superlounge Signs Director Daniel Sheppard

Led by company partners, Director Jordan Brady and EP Dave Farrell, Superlounge announced the signing of up-and-coming talent, Director Daniel Sheppard. After almost two very successful years in business, Superlounge has also decided to go “all-comedy,” say the company founders.

“I'm thrilled to join the folks at Superlounge,” says Sheppard. “Their new comedy focus is an obvious fit for me; their talent is top-notch and I'm really proud to see my name up on the roster. Mostly, I just love being quoted. Can't wait to get things kickin'.”

“Daniel's humour is dry and subtle, even when the idea is way out there,” comments Jordan Brady, a revered Comedy Director himself. “Daniel has both agency and production experience, and knows how to fashion a funny ad. He delivers comedic performances that are on the pulse of today's humour. He also has combination skin.”

As for the company’s turn to focus solely on the comedy genre, Brady elaborates: “While each Superlounge Director is a rounded filmmaker, we all really love making funny more than, well, life itself,” he concludes. “So our focus on comedy makes total sense. After all, funny is money.”

Sheppard has already landed his first Superlounge project: directing a Missouri Lottery spot for ad agency Barkley of Kansas City, MO.

Bio/Director Daniel Sheppard:
Born in Virginia, raised in three countries, four states and a commonwealth, Daniel Sheppard knows a thing or two about writing bios in the third person. He has won countless participating awards for his elementary and middle school sports programs and was named “Time Magazine”’s “Person of the Year” in 2006. He has an agency background where he spent many nights increasing logo sizes and trying to figure out how they get all those cinnamon swirls into every bite of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Legend has it, he once showed up to work naked with nothing but his normal clothes on. Daniel got into commercial directing when he met a drunk guy that said, “Hey, man. You should direct.” He’ll never forget that day.
