Recent research in Adage Research showed that nearly one-third of U.S. brands may be contemplating switching up their ad agency in the next six months. To prepare for this stampede of brands looking for new homes, independent creative agency SuperHeroes NY has created The Client Pitch. It’s just like a normal pitch, except instead of the agency pitching work to the client, brands are competing against each other to woo the agency.
“Yes we’re flipping the script. After months of lockdown, brands are all gearing up to launch campaigns that will stand out. We’re here to help, but there are only so many hours in the day,” says Rogier Vijverberg, ECD and founder at SuperHeroes. “Creative independent agencies are in high demand, and it’s impossible for us to participate in every pitch request. We want to make sure we work with brands that fit us best: the ones who are brave enough to join us on our mission to save the world from boring advertising."
How it works
Brands are invited to first submit a quick explanation of why they want to participate. From this list 4 brands will be chosen to pitch their brand. SuperHeroes has even created a cheeky score sheet to show how they will be grading each pitch. And yes, of course there is a pitch fee. For each of the 4 brands who reach the pitch stage, SuperHeroes will make a $500 donation to NoKidHungry.org.
Curious brands should act fast. The Client Pitch deadline is set for Tuesday May 25th.
