On the back of recent, high profile client wins, creative agency SuperHeroes is bolstering its team with five new hires. The five new superheroes have been given a single mission: to save the world from boring advertising.
New members of the Amsterdam-based team include award-winning French creative duo Dimitri Hekimian and Quentin Deronzier, who have worked together, as copywriter and art director, at EURO RSCG 360, FRED & FARID and Grey Paris on high profile campaigns for brands such as LEGO, LACOSTE, Audi, Athena and Martini.
Also joining the agency is digital producer Evelien Schenkkan who brings with her eight years of experience working for the likes of Isobar and Glassworks. Norwegian born designer Krister Lima, and a new art director, joining in May, make up the new recruits.
The recruiting drive comes on the back of an exciting period of growth for SuperHeroes. Recent highlights include being named digital agency for Converse, across the EMEA region, and a global account role for electronics giant LG, for whom they created the So Real It’s Scary online film series, which has been viewed over 50m times globally.
Other headline work includes creating the immersive digital platform for new fashion enterprise experience The Future of Fashion is Now (www.futureoffashion.nl), in collaboration with international style icons such as Hussein Chalayan and Victor&Rolf, and Rotterdam museum Boijmans van Beuningen.
With the mission of saving the world from boring advertising, founders Rogier Vijverberg and Django Weisz Blanchetta have also recently opened the doors to a new 500m², custom-designed agency headquarters – or secret hideout – in central Amsterdam.
Django Weisz Blanchetta, founder and managing director, SuperHeroes, commented: “SuperHeroes is experiencing an exhilarating period of growth and my goal is to further establish us as a creatively ground-breaking agency. We create work that stands out from the crowd with a heady blend of killer content, bold visuals and imaginative approach to technology. That’s why we are delighted to be welcoming this crack team of creative characters to our gang.”
Dimitri Hekimian, copywriter, SuperHeroes, commented: “A culture of innovation, coupled with creativity and craft is what attracted me to SuperHeroes. There is an entrepreneurial spirit about the place that is incredibly fresh and inspiring – and yet we have the privilege of working with some of the world’s most ambitious and brilliant brands, on projects that truly make people sit up and take note.”
