WPP-owned Atlanta-based digital marketing studio changes name

Studiocom to Rebrand as VML

VML, a leading global marketing company, today announced that Studiocom, a digital marketing company based in Atlanta, would be rebranded as VML. Studiocom currently has three locations in Atlanta, Boston and Bogotá. 

 

 

“Studiocom has been an amazing part of the VML network family since 2005. We have always had a great synergy and connectivity. Re-branding Studiocom to VML immediately strengthens our collective offering in North and South America. By becoming one company, we have the opportunity to accelerate growth and capability, without losing any of the unique Studiocom heritage, expertise or culture,” said Jon Cook, CEO and president at VML. 

 

 

Studiocom will add 115 employees and key clients such as Kimberly-Clark, Turner, as well as a thriving Latin America operation, to the 1,700-employee strong VML network. 

 

 

Juan Fernando Santos and Chris Edmondson previously led Studiocom in a co-president capacity. Under VML, Santos and Edmondson will join the VML executive leadership team. Santos will assume a new role within VML as chief experience officer. Edmondson will assume the role of executive director responsible for VML in Atlanta, Boston, and Bogotá offices and clients. 

 

 

“Going to market as a consolidated VML brand allows us to offer our clients enhanced capabilities, services and geographic reach, and offers our employees even more dynamic career opportunities,” said Edmondson. 

 

 

Santos remarked, “We are strong believers in the power of experiences as a way to connect consumers and brands. As VML, we will be able to build even stronger connections for our existing clients and create innovative opportunities within new categories and brands.” 

Studiocom and its clients will benefit from VML’s global footprint and depth of resources across strategy, media, technology, ecommerce and research. Conversely, VML will integrate Studiocom’s innovative problem-solving and creative approach throughout its North America offices and add an established Latin America footprint to its capabilities.
