Stink Films Opens in México City

Vanessa Hernández Vega takes on the role of managing director

International production company Stink Films has announced the opening of its new office in México City. Stink Films, which was recently named one of Ad Age’s A-List top production companies, has a long relationship with México producing many projects there including 'New Winds' for AeroMéxico, directed by The Fridman Sisters and created with Gut México City. Other exciting projects include Persil's Oscars ad ‘The Chase’ directed by Keith McCarthy for DDB New York and Corona’s ‘The Finer Life is Ours’ directed by Leo Aguirre for MullenLowe.

Stink México will be led by managing director Vanessa Hernández Vega, who brings her vast knowledge of production and México’s market with nine years of experience as a founding partner and EP of a local production company. Joining her as executive producer is Daniela Polo. “It fills me with energy and pride to join Stink México City. It is an opportunity that motivates me enormously to grow as a producer.” Daniela said. "Vanessa is a shining example of female leadership in México. She has been a mentor to me throughout my career and I am so happy to have the opportunity to work under her leadership."

By setting up independent operations in México, Stink looks forward to being a part of the movement to elevate creativity by employing their experience from other markets, as well as investing in talent and good creative. Along with the top talent Stink already have, three local directors will be joining the México City roster including Gonzalo Oliveró, Isis Malpica, and Daniel Uribe. Vanessa adds: "My goal for Stink México is to make a difference on the international scene; to value our Mexican identity, without creative limits. And for that, I couldn't count on a better accomplice than Daniela." Speaking of Stink’s founder, Daniel Bergmann, she continues, “Daniel has a great eye for creative and talent. I look forward to building with this extraordinary roster of directors.”

Daniel adds: "Mexico City has long been a hub for art and culture. By having a permanent presence in Mexico, we look forward to taking on a more active role in amplifying creative and investing in talent. We are thrilled to have Vanessa come on as our MD. She brings a deep understanding of the market and her approach to production is impressive and unique.”

Stink is one of the first international production companies to set up operations in México, providing a home base for the company that further develops its global expertise and offer. The new office expands Stink’s global footprint to a total of 12 offices, including locations in Los Angeles, New York City, London, Paris, São Paulo, Berlin, Shanghai, Beijing, Tokyo, Singapore, Prague and now México City.
