Stefan Hunt Wins a BAFTA for They Saw The Sun First

Stefan Hunt celebrates a BAFTA win in the Short Form Programme category with ‘They Saw The Sun First’. 

Born out of a desire for eldership in his life, Stefan's eight-minute film articulates poignant reflections of the elderly, brought to life through the movement of young bodies, soundtracked by an instrumental score by FKJ.

Summarised perfectly in his acceptance speech, Stefan acknowledged the film’s timely success, during a period when our elderly have been so affected by the pandemic. Therefore, it only feels fitting to celebrate the beauty and wisdom of their influence for generations to come.

Alongside his BAFTA victory Stefan has been busy recently, directing a host of wonderfully inventive, blissfully bonkers spots for leading brands Kathmandu, Vissla, On Running and Westpac and is undoubtedly one-to-watch on the OB roster.
