Soho-based company doubles in size in just one year

Squire Celebrates First Birthday with Major Expansion

Squire is doubling in size after being in business for just one year. The Soho-based company has grown so quickly that it is about to acquire a new floor of its Poland Street HQ and invest in edit suites. The expansion begins just after Squire celebrated its first birthday in raucous style (look here if you dare).

Squire’s first year of operation involved signing an additional four directors (Rodney Rascona, Deane Thrussell, Simon Stock and Michelle Coomber) whilst developing a wide range of multiplatform work: branded content (eg: Jaguar, Bentley and Johnnie Walker), broadcast (Squire is currently working on a music-based documentary series for Red Bull) and music videos (Franz Ferdinand, Róisín Murphy and Everything Everything… to name just a few).

In line with Squire’s philosophy of offering a holistic range of services, the company is also working on a huge in-store content project for a world famous retailer and is helping one of its directors negotiate an artistic director role for a global megastar.

JT, Squire’s co-founder and MD, said: “It’s been a whirlwind year and we’ve exceeded even our own expectations. I never thought that by the tender age of one we’d need to find more space. I think we’ve managed to grow at this fast pace because of our multiplatform approach. To succeed in today’s landscape, content creators need to be more open-minded about which channels they want to work in.”

Phil Tidy, Squire’s co-founder and executive producer, added: “As a firm believer in the power of branded content, we’ve even developed our own. Keep an eye out for the inaugural edition of Squire’s fanzine – coming to an office near you soon!”
