Campaign encourages customers to wholeheartedly pursue their passions
As a follow-up to their Super Bowl campaign with Key and Peele, Squarespace teamed up with creative agency Preacher for an all-new Grammys campaign featuring Grammy-nominated R&B artist Leon Bridges. The spot, titled 'Leon's Journey', tells Leon's story as he pursued his dream relentlessly and made it a reality. Acclaimed music photographer and film director Danny Clinch shot the ad and he captured a soulful look at Leon's path - from washing dishes and doing open mics in Fort Worth, TX, to his discovery and subsequent album launch and life on the road touring. The campaign also includes 60 second, 30 second, and 15 second spots as well as a short documentary film titled "This is Home" which will be shown at festivals throughout the year. The campaign aims to inspire others to pursue their passions wholeheartedly and to share it with the world on Squarespace.
The 30 second spot will begin airing during the Grammys on 2/15, and the 60 second spot will air in regional markets (Austin, Boston, Dallas, Denver, Chicago, Minneapolis, Nashville, Portland, San Diego, Seattle, and Washington DC). Leon Bridges, who already used Squarespace for his website, received a design update with new assets from the campaign courtesy of Preacher. They also created a new Squarespace site to beautifully showcase the work of Danny Clinch. Both sites will launch on February 15.

David Lee, Chief Creative Officer at Squarespace commented, "We are always looking for ways to highlight our amazing customers so when we learned Leon Bridges was a Squarespace user, we knew we had to tell his story," said Chief Creative Office David Lee. "Our new campaign launches during the biggest night in the music industry and we hope it inspires others follow their passion and create something beautiful on Squarespace."
Rob Baird, Founder and CCO at Preacher, added, "We partner with Squarespace to identify and activate collaborations with the most inspiring artists and cultural properties today, and help bring their ideas to life in a way only Squarespace can. Essentially, Preacher takes the brand's deep commitment to talent and puts it to work. We do that by building content, experiences, and Squarespace websites to then beautifully host each project, always staying true to the artist's unique vision."
