Spindle has announced a new initiative that commits to zero waste, environmentally sustainable production and becoming a climate positive company by the end of 2021. This includes joining 1% for the Planet and being in the process of becoming B Corp Certified.
The initiative also aims to improve the pathway into production for both those from lower socio-economic backgrounds and under-represented groups. This includes a partnership with Creative Mentor Network and launching a film fund for young filmmakers and crew from marginalised groups, in collaboration with Minute Shorts.

The announcement follows Spindle's recent release of Timberland 'Nature Needs Heroes', the first piece of work to come out of their newly opened creative studio; that writes, develops and executes ideas for brands aligning with their environmental values. Nature Needs Heroes, led by Loyle Carner, explores a unique collaboration between Timberland and Croydon council to bring life and greenery to an urban area.
