Sparks Launches Sans Bornes

Sparks Productions has announced the launch of a new division entitled Sans Bornes. Sans Bornes means without limits and an 'anything is possible' mantra is the cornerstone of this new enterprise.

Sans Bornes is a versatile mix of new and established directors who are multi-disciplined and based in Canada. In addition to directing, some are also DP’s, others are photographers, editors, writers, choreographers, and even an improv performer. They all share a common goal of being undaunted by any project’s demands from budget to schedule to deliverables.

The Sans Bornes directors possess the ability to move fluidly between media and utilise more than one skill to convey a message that resonates. Our large representation of female directors prioritizes ways of expressing contemporary experience accurately and equitably and speaks to the new wave of Canadian filmmakers who are beginning to make a powerful impact in film and television.

The mandate of Sans Bornes is rooted in a need to fuel the greater good. Inspired by the work of Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), Sans Bornes aims to blur the boundaries of cultural expression and civic contribution. A percentage of our earnings from every production, regardless of size, will be donated to MSF.
