Production and design company Spacejunk revved its creative engine to create an original, high-energy promo for Nationwide Financial. The project harnessed the power of a Lamborghini as the metaphor for Nationwide’s Investment Solutions Builder (ISB). The video was delivered to Nationwide’s investor relations specialists via Uvideo: A proprietary print mailer with imbedded LCD video player developed and designed by direct marketing solutions company Uviaus.
For the Spacejunk creative team, the goal was to produce a piece that delivered a message about ISB’s power, responsiveness and functionality while eschewing traditional approaches to corporate financial advertising.
"Using a metaphor for the financial software allowed us to do something that was informative but visually stunning at the same time. It was a no brainer," commented Creative Director, Mike Beaumont.
The Lamborghini - not computers and software – became the ultimate centrepiece for the project, which combined a live action shoot of the car, motion graphic design and 3D animation all directed and produced by Spacejunk.
