Somesuch Partners with The Kusp for a Second Year

Somesuch has renewed its partnership with UK-based social enterprise, The Kusp. Over the course of the partnership, The Kusp will work together with the production company to source creatives from ethnic minority and working-class backgrounds to get on-set experience.

Representation in the industry is something both companies believe is essential. As Amos Eretusi, founder, mentions: “In the creative industry, getting access to opportunities and relevant experience at the early stages of your career is hard, particularly if you don't have the right contacts. This partnership gives those under-represented creatives the gateway they need to be the best version of themselves, in spaces that will allow them to excel.”

This partnership will not only allow diverse creatives to get access to on-set experience for films, music videos and the commercial projects that Somesuch will be working on over the next 12 months - in addition to that,10 diverse creatives will have their memberships funded, and Somesuch will fund intimate experiences (2 secret sessions and a masterclass) for creatives to attend for free in 2022. Making these sessions free will help to mitigate the financial barrier that quite a lot of working class creatives experience on their journey in the industry.

UK general manager at Somesuch, Kayleigh Leeson, has been a longstanding supporter of The Kusp and comments on the partnership: "The entire Somesuch team feels really lucky to have had the opportunity to work with The Kusp over the last year and we’re beyond thrilled that we get to do it again! I’ve loved getting to know Amos and his team and I have a huge amount of respect for the consideration they give to everything they do. They deeply care about helping each of their members break into what can sometimes feel like an impenetrable industry if you don’t have the right contacts. The Kusp go above and beyond to make introductions and create routes in for each of their members."
