Says Sam Attenborough, executive producer, Flying Fish: "We were up for the challenge, so we packed our bags and set out across country to shoot a real lion and a Maori warrior facing off one another on top a mountain peak, as well as showcasing all types of Kiwis performing the iconic war dance, formally known as the Ka mate Haka. From Rotorua Boys High, The National NZ Fire Service Training Centre, to the sheet metal works, the Haka ran deep in all of them.
With the Lions being in their blood, it was clear what was in ours."
