Sky Creative Agency, Sky’s in-house advertising and creative agency and the largest in-house agency in Europe, has delivered ‘Mo’s Best Bud’ and ‘Leon’s Night Out’, the second and third stories in the ongoing ‘everything you love in one place, easy’ campaign for Sky Q. Having successfully launched in October, these stories continue the campaign narrative that celebrates the individuality and diversity of the TV viewer and how easy it is for them to watch all the content that they love side by side on Sky Q. ‘Leon’s Night Out’ launches today with ‘Mo’s Best Bud’ broadcast for the first time on November 25th. Both adverts were directed by Dan DiFelice and produced by Biscuit Filmworks.
Leon’s Night Out is an upbeat, energetic story about an older dancer called Leon, who glides through all his favourite dance and music content on Sky Q, including La La Land, Strictly Come Dancing, Spotify and YouTube.
Leon Herbert, the star of ‘Leon’s Night Out’ commented: “Dance, and the ability to express myself creatively, has formed a key cornerstone of my life. The story felt so true to who I am, and it was just a joy to be a part of”
In contrast, “‘Mo’s Best Bud’ is a high-octane, cinematic experience seen through the eyes of a young thrill-seeker” observes director Dan DiFelice. It truly captures the essence of the content as we see him collect everything he loves from F1, Money Heist, Gangs of London and Jurassic World. However, as the ad develops, it becomes clear at the end that the true story is about his relationship with his Nan, having collected their favourite thing to watch together – Portrait Artist of the Year.
Mo, the star of ‘Mo’s Best Bud’ commented: “Growing up, you dream about what it would be like to be a character in your favourite movie or TV show, it was an unbelievable experience to make this dream a reality. Seeing Jurassic World, Money Heist and Gangs of London - some of my favourite things on TV, brought to life in the final advert was amazing”
Sunny Bhurji, Sky TV marketing director said: “Whether it’s our unmissable Sky Original TV shows or our great partner content, Sky Q offers all the best entertainment side by side. Through these compelling and emotive stories, we wanted to show that no matter what you love, everything is easily available in one place on Sky Q.
Robin Garton, the executive creative director Advertising at Sky Creative Agency added: “In Mo’s Best Bud and Leon’s Night Out we have two new stories that celebrate the individuality of our consumers. After a strong launch with ‘Harris and the Robots’, it's hard to pick a favourite. It feels nice to go from strength to strength.”
