Sky Bet Campaign Celebrates the Most Wonderful Time of the Year... Sportsmas!

Jeff Stelling is making his TV singing debut to promote Sky Bet’s wonderful offers over the Christmas period. In a warming tribute to a festive period that’s packed full of significant sporting events, Jeff belts out a sporting version of ‘The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year’. He is accompanied by his Soccer Saturday compatriots and football legends Matt ‘Tiss’ Le Tissier, Phil ‘Thommo’ Thompson and ‘Champagne’ Charlie Nicholas, who ably assist him as backing singers and dancers.

Jeff sings ‘Where darts fists are pumping, and horses are jumping, and football...my dear!’ In celebration of the impending PDC darts World Championships, the King George at Kempton and a full programme of football fixtures.

Jeff and the gang dub the festive period ‘Sportsmas’ in an unbridled display of what really makes Sky Bet tick.

The Sportsmas campaign is the brainchild of advertising agency Who Wot Why. Sky Bet and Who Wot Why formed their partnership in 2016 and have produced 15 cross media campaigns including the ground breaking ‘Responsible Gambling’ push and the World Cup ‘Discovery’ campaign which made the front pages this summer.

Ross Sewley, Sky Bet’s Head of Brand said: “With generosity at its heart and sport in its soul, the Sportsmas campaign will tap into the festive spirit and help us to maximise this crucial period, as well as staying in customers’ minds for the long-haul."

The team at Who Wot Why said: “At this special time of year it is important to remember the important things. Horse racing, darts, football. Sky Bet continue to enhance the enjoyment and we are delighted to be assisting."

The Sportsmas campaign launched on TV on Saturday, 15th December and is supported by full digital, content and CRM.
