Sizzer's Sander van Maarschalkerweerd Announced as Part of Cannes Lions Jury

Cannes Lions 2018 will be another big one for Sizzer – Founder and CEO  Sander van Maarschalkerweerd who will be part of the ‘Entertainment for Music’ Jury for the first time.

Besides that, their annual ‘Have a Nice Shindig!’ party, co-hosted with German media production house LIGA 01, is back on Thursday June 21st with a special partner: long running creative bible Le Book.  

 

In between opening a Berlin office this April, developing from a music production hub to a full sound consultancy (with a shuffle in management to accommodate that) and all the while working on many inspiring campaigns, it has been a positively tumultuous year for Sizzer

Somewhere Sander van Maarschalkerweerd also found the time to join the ‘Entertainment for Music’ jury.  Sander: “I’m extremely happy to be a part of this years jury. After all this time in the advertising trenches I can’t wait to see all the great work that’s submitted each year from a jury perspective and discuss and share insights with my fellow members.” 

 

Cannes wouldn’t be Cannes without the epicenter of questionable decisions that is Sizzer and LIGA 01’s annual beachparty. ‘Have a Nice Shindig!’ will take place on Thursday June 21st at Plage Long Beach. They are very excited to have global creative network resource Le Book on board this year.

As always, the bar for musical entertainment is set high after introducing acts like ESG, Omar Souleyman and DJ Spinna in previous years: New York Hip Hop DJ Stretch Armstrong will be returning after last year’s cut-short set and Dutch yacht-electro savages Lamellen will be performing live. The much-coveted wristbands are very limited and will be distributed with a “clients, friends and family first” policy.
