Silver Linings Playbook, which has taken top honours at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival, winning the BlackBerry People’s Choice award for best film.
Based on the novel by Matthew Quick, the film follows former teacher Pat Solitano who moves in with his parents and tries to reconcile with his wife after a stint in a mental institution. Things get more challenging when Pat meets Tiffany, a mysterious girl with problems of her own.
Starring Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert de Niro and Julia Stiles, the film joins a pool of well-respected TIFF People’s Choice alums including the Academy Award®-winning films The Kings Speech and Slumdog Millionaire.
