The app partnered with Gameloft for brands and kept its 19 million shoppers engaged with fun

Shopback is a popular loyalty and discovery platform that rewards users for shopping. With more than 19 million shoppers using their app, Shopback was looking for a way to engage their users and keep them coming back. 

Partnering with Gameloft for brands, the team created a playable 'mini-game' starring the Shopback mascot - Happy Bag! The game, embedded directly in the mobile app, gave shoppers a chance to play for real rewards.

The Cashback Troopers game was a huge success, seeing an outstanding engagement rate of 99.73%, over 20 million minutes of gameplay, and more than 12 million replays. The real winners were the Shopback users with 1.4 million rewards given out! Check it out:
