Following four years of explosive growth, Portland, Oregon-based creative agency SET has quickly emerged as one of Nike’s most trusted agency partners and as a $24 million business.  Now the agency has set its sights on the east coast, where it seeks to become a leading agency for telling brand stories through experiences and environments.  As the 15-person New York team settles into a new space at 12 West 27th Street in New York’s Flatiron District, it has already been enlisted by Zara to build the brand’s rapidly-growing U.S. retail footprint and by the New Zealand-based clothing company Icebreaker to help shape its retail experience. The agency has also brought on renowned fashion industry creative Kirsten Ludwig as its first Chief Creative Officer.
SET was founded in 2009 by Sabina Teshler – a pioneer in large-scale graphics and experience design – and has quickly evolved into one of the fastest-growing companies in Portland.  SET’s deep understanding of how to create, evaluate and execute experiential ideas is evident in the innovative, high-profile and large-scale projects the agency is doing for Nike – including executing the brand’s national Olympics experiential rollouts in more than 3,000 stores across the U.S.  Today, the agency oversees strategy and execution for every aspect of experiential marketing, including ideation and concepting, store design and construction, window displays, visual merchandising, digital signage and interactive experiences, events and pop-ups, and it works with leading brands including Nike, Zara, NBC, Alexander McQueen, Icebreaker and Victoria’s Secret.
As Chief Creative Officer, Ludwig has been brought on to help lead SET’s growth in New York and to further build out the agency’s creative and ideation services offering.  A creative and lifestyle marketer with more than 15 years of experience in the fashion industry, Ludwig has led notable creative for leading retailers and fashion brands including Anthropologie, Ralph Lauren, Ron Herman/Fred Segal, Louis Boston, Stella & Dot, Daily Candy, Aeropostale and American Eagle.
