ABIO, an Italian association for children in hospital, and Italian food brand Opera recently launched a campaign created by Serviceplan Italia. The core of the campaign was a book, 'Le Avventure', which was handed out to children staying in hospitals.
For some children, going into hospital is like going to another planet. They face a lot of new situations, and spend a lot of time alone. ‘Le Avventure’ was given to children to accompany them during their time there, opening their imaginations. The interactive notebook features astronauts, who just like the children, need to be courageous and overcome many challenges, do thousands of medical tests and eat strange food.
The book, offered by Opera and ABIO, was donated to hospitalised children with the intention of cheering them up: a real 'course for astronauts' and a journey of discovery to new worlds, with pear-shaped protagonists.
