My Accomplice has produced a film inspired by experimental psychologist Professor Charles Spence’s research on multisensory experiences. His concept, “sensploration”, explores the interplay of various sensorial inputs.
Using "sensploration", Spence explains how our senses affect one another. For example, how the type of music you listen to as you eat will change the taste of your food, how someone's lip movements will change how you hear their words, and how something as simple as changing the colour of an established product can lead to a sharp increase in sales.
Directed by Liam Saint-Pierre, "Sensploration" explains why designers need to be aware of sensory dominance.
