Event celebrated all things community within TikTok's creator, artist, and media networks

They say, ‘it starts on TikTok’ and it really does. TikTok is fast becoming a household name having just finished sponsoring the EUROS and is in good stead for establishing itself as not only an online destination, but an all-encompassing physical destination too.

That said, SEEN, the creative retail and experiential agency, kicked July off with one of their first IRL events for 2021… and what an event to start with.

SEEN announces their partnership with TikTok, collaborating closely with the TikTok team as their creative experiential partner, helping them celebrate all things community within their creator, artist, and media networks.

To mark society re-emerging out of the pandemic, the video entertainment platform wanted an event that gave back and brought together their communities in an engaging, inspired and educating way. A chance for creators to meet in person for the first time and celebrate TikTok fast becoming part of the fabric of society, and the place that culture starts.

SEEN designed the exclusive ForYouFest event with the TikTok creator community at the heart of the activation, providing a space for well-established creators, along with newer, to create unique content and get excited about the functions and interactivity of the app. The aim was to bring the platforms well loved ‘For You’ feed into the physical and show the apps breadth of creativity.

Located in Shoreditch, the invite only, two-day event featured everything from a Creator Glow-up bar, all the way through to a #BookTok library where guests could pick up their favourite books that had made waves on the platform. The glow-up bar was in collaboration with Revolution, a space for creators to explore the latest collections and trial top trending looks that had become famous on the platform. There was even the opportunity to get bespoke TikTok and football themed nails painted, ready for the EUROs final!

The event was designed to encourage creativity and so in the fashion area the space invited guests to a personalisation station where you could get hands-on by designing your own socks and attend styling sessions led by top creators. When guests arrived, they could indulge in the latest food crazes and enjoy a slice of the platform’s famous cuisines at #FoodTok where menus were inspired by foodie creators. Lastly, the day was injected with a mixture of inspiring panel talks full of creators and leaders within the industry, discussing educational and culturally relevant topics, from ‘How to be your own Boss’ through to ‘Coping with Creator Burnout’.

Over 150 people went through the event, all whilst taking the necessary Covid precautions, and boy was it good to do something in the flesh once again. Everybody left the event feeling well and truly pumped for life in the physical, a sign of things to come for experiential events!
