72andSunny are tasked with developing a new global brand strategy and design guidelines to reposition Schleich

Schleich, the world’s leading manufacturer of toy figurines, has appointed 72andSunny Amsterdam as its new brand strategy and creative partner, after a competitive pitch. 72andSunny Amsterdam has been tasked with developing a new global brand strategy and design guidelines to reposition Schleich within the category and galvanise stakeholders and franchises, as they are looking at solidifying their presence in markets as the US, the UK and France.

Schleich believes that through play children unlock a world of creativity and imagination, and wants to empower them to explore and learn through their toys. 72andSunny Amsterdam is tasked with the challenge of breaking away from the boundaries of the category, and expressing a meaningful role for Schleich in the everyday lives and play of families all over the world.

Dirk Engehausen, CEO, Schleich, said: “The Schleich brand has a rich heritage for making high quality, detailed figurines and playsets. But, the children and families who have welcomed us into their homes understand that the play experience with Schleich is so much more. We are delighted to partner with 72andSunny Amsterdam to help us to capture our brand essence in words and rich images so we can share our story and our products with the world. We are confident that this talented multinational team will exceed all our expectations!”

Simone Moessinger, creative director, at 72andSunny Amsterdam, said: “Schleich is a beautifully simple and authentic brand that immediately got all of us thinking and playing - in that free-reign way only kids seem to be able to do. What’s not to love about that?. We’re really excited to dig in and help reshape their strategy and ultimately find the right voice and look for their brand story.”
