The "Funny Or Die" Directing Duo are Signed for Commercial Representation

Saville Signs Bick/Antzis

Los Angeles-based Saville Productions is thrilled to announce the signing of comedy directing duo Drew Antzis & Tamara Bick, otherwise known as Bick/Antzis, for exclusive commercial representation in the U.S.

Bick/Antzis’ directing highlights include the Funny or Die short comedy sensation The Landlord starring Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, and foul-mouthed, two-year-old Pearl. Since its debut, The Landlord remains one of Funny or Die’s most-watched “Immortal” videos and has been viewed over a staggering 79 million times.

Rupert Maconick, executive producer of Saville, called Bick/Antzis storytellers who bring an exciting combination of wit and humor to their narratives. “We are thrilled to sign new talent who can push the envelope that can think outside of traditional advertising lines. Bick/Antzis haveextremely enormous potential which we are excited to tap into their penchant for comedy.”

Born in Canada, Bick began her career as a comedic actress, appearing in sitcoms like Men Behaving Badly, Fraiser and Seinfeld. Antzis was raised in Queens, New York, and also started in comedy, trained by the late Del Close at Improv Olympic and Second City.

Under the Bick/Antzis directorial banner, the husband and wife team began working together on various projects; their breadth of experience include writing, performing, directing and producing for companies such as Funny or Die, MSN, Yahoo, American Public Media, Variety and MoveOn.Org.

At Funny or Die, Bick/Antzis co-directed numerous videos illustrating their passion for creating compelling stories and visuals, including The Instructor with Sean Hayes and Eulogy Punch–up Artist with Jim Parsons. The duo also directed the acclaimed comedy short Coma: A Dark Comedy, which has traveled to festivals across the globe winning the hearts of audiences and snagging Audience Awards.

Most recently Bick/Antzis directed In the Market: An Organic Love Story, a 7-part series of comedic sketches for Whole Foods, as part of a branded content campaign for the natural and organic supermarket chain. In the Market focused on the misadventures of a love-starved guy pushing 30 and garnered over half a million hits and chosen as Ad of the Day by Adweek.

Saville Productions is represented on the East Coast by Michael Eha, in the Mid-West by Nikki Weiss and on the West Coast by Connie Mellors and Ellen Dempsey-Hines.
