VaynerMedia has announced that Sarah Baumann will be joining the agency as managing director of the London office. In this role, Sarah will oversee client relations and business operations for the agency, working alongside the heads of strategy, creative and media. She will report to Gary Vaynerchuk, chairman of VaynerX and CEO of VaynerMedia.
“After opening three years ago, our London office has established itself in the UK marketplace as an agency that drives business results for our clients through attention, culture and empathy,” said Gary. “We are now looking to expand that offering. With Sarah’s rich background in the advertising industry and her passion for developing talent, she is the right person to take the agency to the next level. I am thrilled she’s joining the VaynerMedia team.”
Sarah brings over 20 years’ of agency and marketing experience to her new role. She was formerly the deputy CEO of Leo Burnett London, where she spent 16 years of her career. During this time, Sarah held a number of roles, including managing director of Atelier, their luxury and lifestyle boutique division; group talent strategy director, leading talent development, recruitment and cultural priority; and head of account management. She was also the co-founder of VivaWomen, Publicis Groupe’s women’s network.
Most recently, Sarah was the director of marketing at the People's Vote Campaign, fighting for a referendum on Brexit, where she set up and led the in-house marketing and social media team, helping to mobilise millions of people in the biggest political movement in decades.
