Germán Yunes, CEO of Geometry Global Latina, has announced that Santiago Cortes is the new CEO for Geometry Mexico. The executive, who until now held the position of COO for almost a year, has an extensive experience within the network.

“Santiago is a very valuable asset for Geometry. In 2015, he began operating as CEO of  the Peruvian office, and managed to create a solid portfolio of clients with important brands. Santiago has the expertise and the work spirit that Geometry needs in Mexico today, his experience and global leadership are an example of this,” said Germán Yunes, CEO of Geometry Latina.

With more than 15 years of experience and a great strategic vision, Santiago has been in charge of important global and regional brands. In 2015, being in Japan, he was summoned by Yunes to lead Geometry Peru and then transferred to Mexico as COO integrating the region and capitalising on growth opportunities in regional and global clients. His diverse experience with multiple markets, brands, and consumers has developed a global fund that enables him to bring the best of each world to brand communication platforms. Cortés believes that leadership in talent management is the key to achieving creative and new business goals.

“Leading the Mexico office is a challenge that I accept with great responsibility and pride,” Cortes commented.

“I know that I´m taking this role at a very uncertain moment, but I fully trust the Geometry Mexico team, and specially Juanjo Posada, our regional creative director with whom I have worked in the past, and will do it again, side by side, focusing on the new needs of our clients," concluded the new CEO of Geometry México.

Santiago Cortés began his career at Young & Rubicam and MullenLowe Colombia, as account executive. In 2006, he began his extensive career with The Coca-Cola Company from Ogilvy Latam, as regional account director. He was later transferred to the headquarters in New York where he continued managing The Coca-Cola account for the US Hispanic Market. In 2014, he led the Coca-Cola account from Ogilvy Japan, as group account director. Beginning 2015, he became part of the Geometry team as the GM of the operation in Peru.
