MacKay announced as finalist for both 'Best Business Woman in Business Services' and 'Best Boss'

Businesswoman Christine MacKay from salamandra.uk has been shortlisted as a finalist for two Business Women Awards; the ‘Best Business Women in Business Services 2020’ and, as nominated by her team, ‘Best Boss 2020’. The Salamandra.uk team are visual problem solvers who convey complex messages for their B2B clients using animation on any platform. With studios in Eton and Dundee, they work with multinationals, start-ups, brand marketing teams, advertising and PR agencies alike using 2D, 3D, AR, VR, motion graphics and stop motion.

Upon receiving the news of the major awards, Christine MacKay said: "It’s been a complete whirlwind of a year but receiving these accolades has been a major highlight reflecting success for myself and my dedicated team. Animation is like ice-cream, it never fails to bring a smile to people’s faces and it is my studio's mission to make my clients smile with the wondrous medium of animation. Receiving this award means I am well underway with this mission and the Best Boss award has really touched my heart."

Christine is, however, no stranger to business kudos, having won a space on f:Entrepreneurs top 100 female entrepreneurs 2020, won a spot on Small Business Saturday’s #SmallBiz100 and has been nominated for 11 awards this year alone. "It’s time to reflect on how lucky we are to work in our industry and that we have such wonderful clients who give us such exciting projects!" adds Christine.

Debbie Gilbert, organiser of The Best Business Women Awards, commented: ‘This is the 6th year of these prestigious awards. Given the situation with COVID 19 we were delighted with the number of entries. This showed us how determined our entrants were! The entries came in from across the UK and were judged by a panel of business experts. To be a finalist is a major achievement. The businesswomen selected have been chosen for their business acumen, determination, creativity and tenacity. All our finalists are all shining examples of being successful entrepreneurs who have proved their success to our judges."

Plans for the Gala final, usually held in October, have been changed to April 2021. If an in-person event cannot be safely delivered the event will be held online when the winners will be announced.
