Ryan Directs 'Beer Pour' For Victoria Beer

“Beer Pour," directed by Tom Ryan of Directorz, is part of an integrated campaign for Victoria Beer via agency GSD&M. Ryan is a well-known specialty director who notes that his primary goal is “to produce images that read as tangible deliciousness.” Or in this case, thirst quenching hop-filled liquid, pouring beautifully into a pint glass.  The commercial was shot with the Phantom Flex, using macro lenses and shooting at varied frame rates from 60 to 750 fps. Ryan used a beer pour specialist and special effects rigger for the pouring shots.
 
GSD&M was named agency of record for Crown Imports’ brands Pacifico and Victoria Beer in 2011. The latter has been brewed since 1865 but “Mexico’s Best Kept Secret” has only been available in the US since 2010. The campaign is aimed at inspiring people to “discover Victoria.” Consider it done.
