Brand teams up with Rethink to offer hidden rewards when the bands stretch out

RXBAR is leaning into their no B.S. motto by showing Canadians that putting the work into their fitness goals can lead to big rewards.

While some workouts are easy to phone in, resistance bands require hard work from the first stretch. So, to encourage fitness enthusiasts to actually put the ‘work’ into their workouts, RXBAR is releasing limited-run RXBands with hidden rewards.

When relaxed, RXBands look like any other resistance band. But when stretched out, each band reveals a code that will unlock one of three fitness prizes: a box of RXBAR protein bars, one of ten $250 gift cards to Sport Chek, or a grand prize of one Apple Watch Ultra 2.

Acknowledging that countless Canadians set new goals focusing on health and wellness each year, RXBAR wants to inspire them to crush their fitness goals all year long without all of the overpriced equipment or expensive memberships and classes. With resistance bands you get out what you put in - they are accessible and effective.

With RXBAR, the winning doesn’t stop at great food. RXBands let you win twice by trying a simple and effective workout, and by unlocking a code to win prizes.

To get the bands into hands, RXBAR has partnered with Canadian fitness personalities to give away RXBands, introduce more fitness enthusiasts to the brand, and reward their communities for conquering their goals.

“An RXBand is not just workout equipment, but a manifestation of RXBAR’s commitment to helping Canadians reach their highest potential,” says Nicole Gawen, Kellanova Canada. “From helping to keep up with your workouts to offering healthy and high-protein bars, we are proud to help Canadians conquer their fitness goals, big and small.”

“When we thought about how many of us set new fitness goals every January, we saw a perfect opportunity to bring RXBAR’s ‘No B.S.’ motto to life,” said Loretta Lau, group creative director at Rethink. “We wanted to make a simple solution to help consumers cut through the mountain of fitness tips and tricks, and encourage Canadians to reach their fitness goals in a way that rewards them for it – because it’s worth celebrating.”

RXBAR Canada’s AOR, Rethink, led the campaign on strategy, creative and PR, with Starcom for media.

Canadians can enter for the chance to win their very own RXBand and unlock other fitness prizes, by visiting Phil Mackenzie (@leansquad), Beverley Cheng (@beverleycheng), and Jose Lopez (@joselopez_fit) on Instagram with the contest closing on February 12th, 2024.
