RTO+P and Dietz & Watson Team Up with Chris Distefano in New Humorous Campaign

In a series of three spots complete with grilling recipes and a Snapchat AR Lens, the teams came together for a laugh-out-loud funny start to the summer

The start of summer is christened by many things… a first trip to the pool, first ice cream cone, first time walking barefoot on lush green grass, etc. But for many, it starts when the grill is first lit, when the apron is dusted off, the grilling utensils sharpened, and the neighbours start peering over the fence in anticipation of where that delicious smell of smoke is coming from.

And with their deep lineup of grillables from chicken sausage and kielbasa, to the traditional hot dog, Dietz & Watson knows grilling. They’re kicking off this summer with ‘The Wiener Roast’ with someone who’s particularly good at taking and giving heat…comedian Chris Distefano. 

In ‘The Wiener Roast’ campaign, creatively developed and planned by Red Tettemer O’Connell + Partners (RTO+P), Chris Distefano will take over the grill and humorously go off on hot topics while simultaneously grilling tasty new uncured Dietz Dogs and other sausages. He’ll give his take on everything from what your condiments say about you to how the sausage is made. (The right way: without artificial flavours, fillers or other BS of course!)

The campaign launches nationally online today on social and paid social, with a continuous roll out of new grilling recipes on the landing page here.
