Los Angeles-based agency RPA announces the promotion of creative partners, Ariel Shukert and Krystle Mullin, previously associate creative directors, to the position of creative directors reporting to Joe Baratelli, EVP/chief creative officer.
Having recently worked on the 2019 Honda Civic launch, 'Fun All Ways', Ariel and Krystle are the newest creative directors on Honda, and will also head up the La-Z-Boy account.
Ariel is best known for her award-winning 2012 Super Bowl ad, 'Matthew’s Day Off', a historic classic for Honda. This year, Krystle was recognised as a Next Creative Leader by The One Club. Prior to RPA, Krystle was part of the FCB/SIX team that worked on DestinationPride.org for PFLAG Canada (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays), a data-driven search platform designed to help LGBTQ+ travel safely. The project secured 13 Lions, along with a number of other industry accolades.
“The energy that Ariel and Krystle bring to all that they do is inspiring. They’re the perfect combination of a continued legacy and a fresh perspective, and will continue to deliver stand-out work,” said Baratelli.
They have a number of passion projects at RPA, including events and workshops that aim to address the lack of diversity in senior-level creative roles. Last March, they were critical in organising the Cannes Lions: See It Be It LA event at RPA. See It Be It is a program at Cannes Lions working toward equal representation of female and male creative directors across the industry. Krystle and Ariel are also passionate about mentoring younger creatives and hope to guide them as they navigate their careers.view more - Hires, Wins & BusinessRPA, Fri, 14 Dec 2018 09:24:22 GMT
