Truant has been awarded holiday company Royal Caribbean International’s entire UK advertising business after pitching against Mullen Lowe and Brothers and Sisters.
Truant London will handle all strategy and creative development out of the agency’s Shoreditch office, while additionally developing an in-house studio at Royal Caribbean’s HQ in Weybridge.
Royal Caribbean initiated the pitch with the aim of finding a strategic and creative partner to support the business with growing and building its brand while driving new-to-cruise audiences into the category at a time of enormous growth in the sector.
Mario Bounas, director of marketing at Royal Caribbean International, said: "While any pitch process can be a challenge, the incumbent agency has the additional hurdle of applying fresh thinking to a brand they already know so well. Truant, however, did just that – showcasing their creative firepower and an innovative approach to delivery.
