Artist and legendary Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood is the focus of a new short documentary entitled ‘There Was A Hell Of A Racket Coming Out Of Your House, Mrs. Wood’ which premieres at the Manchester International Film Festival this coming week.
Set in his Gaudi-esque studio in Barcelona, the film finds Ronnie with a frank and candid demeanour as he talks openly about a life battling addictions, how he first met the Rolling Stones, and how his art and music have always been the strength that keeps him moving forward.
Made by British filmmaker Stuart Douglas, the documentary gives a glimpse into the private life of one of music’s most legendary and well loved characters.
"Ronnie is universally acclaimed amongst other musicians," says Douglas. "He has played with virtually everyone, yet still maintains that he gets the same kick playing in front of a pub audience or in front of a half a million spectators at Copacabana Beach. To see him working on his art pieces really was a privilege that we wanted to share with a wider audience."
‘There Was a Hell of a Racket’ plays at the festival on Sunday, March 10th.
