AMV BBDO teams with Biscuit's Clay Weiner for tongue in cheek series of spots

Currys PC World has unveiled the latest iteration of its Christmas campaign created by AMV BBDO, which debuted on Channel 4 last night at 20:55 during Supershoppers.

This festive season, Currys PC World will show the UK that be it through its unbeatable products, or one of its incredible exclusive offers, it is the only place to pick up a gift for your loved ones this Christmas.

The new campaign highlights one intrepid and dedicated colleague, Tim, who impresses some famous customers in a tongue in cheek series of ads, which are sure to bring festive cheer to the viewer.

Notable names including Olympian Victoria Pendleton, comedian Mark Watson and radio host Roman Kemp all feature. In a humorous twist, Tim is also faced with a modern day ‘influencer’, who he advises on tech issues.

Modern technology in the ad will include some of the latest tech innovations from leading brands, including an LG OLED 65” TV and Google Nest Mini, not to mention the sleek and newly launched MS Surface. Viewers will also get a peek at the Dyson Airwrap, Nespresso Vertuo, SONY WH 1000XM3 and Nintendo Switch Lite Turquoise.

The Christmas adverts include details on how customers can get a £5 voucher with every purchase over £25 and the chance to win a £1000 giftcard. Alongside that, customers will find out how to be in with a 1 in 10 chance to get half their money back on any LG OLED TV and details of how to save between £100-£200 when they trade in their old qualifying laptop.

The campaign will feature four 30-second hero TVC executions, combined with bespoke social content. The campaign is also supported by promotional activity.
