As the studio celebrates its 15th anniversary and closes another year marked by a round of successful hits including WandaVison, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Dune and The Witcher season 2, Rodeo FX now turns its attention to its Advertising and Experience division. The division had a fruitful year of agency collaborations on projects like the Coldplay and BTS music video, a William F1 Racing commercial, and spots for YouTube and Dos Equis, to name just a few.
To ride this powerful wave and take on the exciting new challenges that lay ahead for 2022, Rodeo FX has chosen Jean-François Bachand as its new VP Advertising. Jean-François began his career as an artist in visual effects and evolved in small and large companies in various leadership roles over the last few decades. He was head of advertising at Vision Global for over six years, followed by five years leading the MELS Advertising and Audio services division. In this new role, Jean-François looks to solidify Rodeo’s local networks then expand outwardly to the rest of Canada and across the globe.
“You can see right away that the company has big ambitions and can master complexity. Rodeo is a strong brand, recognised internationally, and it shows the value of its talent. I’m really proud to be part of such a team,” says Jean-François.
Acting as a partner that goes beyond traditional advertising, the Advertising and Experience division will benefit from 15 years of Rodeo FX’s collaborations with the world’s best storytellers—experience with enormous value for current and future clients. Under Jean-François’s leadership, the services offered by the division include previsualisation, shoot supervision, visual effects, full CG commercials, directing, motion design, compositing, colour grading, game animatic, digital content, and experiential for clients from agencies and brands. Jean-François will also oversee the sister company Rodeo Production.
