Kit was previously managing director in business development at KPMG

If you’ve streamed any of Hollywood’s big hits lately—Marvel’s WandaVision or HBO’s Lovecraft Country—then you’ve likely enjoyed some of the top shelf visual effects created by the team of artists at Rodeo FX. In fact, the demand for streaming and content has never been greater and the company’s ambitions are well aligned with those of major studios and big brands.

With increasing demand in visual effects, Rodeo FX expects important growth in the future. The company also has big ambition and is diversifying its service offering into areas like advertising, experiential, audio services and animation—plus the company wants to continue its geographic expansion and will need rigorous business development strategies to accomplish all of this through organic growth alongside smart acquisitions. These goals require the stewardship of someone with a track record of developing growth strategies.

Enter Kit Dalaroy with an impressive history on Wall Street, as an investment banker, then as the managing director in business development at KPMG—he’s now bringing his skills and leadership to Rodeo FX as its new chief growth officer. “Rodeo was my client while I was at KPMG, so I have a very clear picture of where they are currently and where they want to go,” says Dalaroy, the latest addition to the company’s C-suite.

“I’m really happy to bring Kit on board. He’ll work closely with me and the business development team on new growth strategies for our global offices and a diversification of our services,” says CEO Sebastien Moreau. “We’re really looking forward to the addition of his dynamic energy and contagious enthusiasm.” Jordan Soles, VP Business Development and Technology, had this to add: “Kit is passionate about Rodeo and brings a lot of complementary knowledge to help drive the company's expansion internationally and leverage Rodeo's incredible creativity.”

Along with service expansions and some of the best visual effects in the world, Rodeo FX wants to be more of a creative partner on projects and increase its creative leadership. This is of particular interest to Dalaroy: “I believe we should not hamstring creativity—creators need to have full authority, and the business people around them should be amplifiers for it...that’s what I envision for Rodeo.” Dalaroy will bring his expertise to management and help grow the company’s offering into other areas while never disconnecting from Rodeo’s roots in visual effects in Montreal and Quebec.
