R/GA, the company that creates transformation at speed, is pleased to announce that Robin Forbes has been promoted to the position of EVP, Managing Director of R/GA New York - the largest office in the company’s network. In this new role, Robin will partner with senior agency leadership to grow and manage the New York office, fostering culture, driving collaboration across office talent, and furthering relationships with new and existing clients.
With a multifaceted background spanning client services, strategy, creative, accounting, and production, Robin will bring more than 19 years of experience to this new position. In addition to leading the Samsung business globally, Robin has served as SVP, Group Managing Director, overseeing a diverse team of more than 100 creatives, producers, strategists and technologists focused on building innovative work for clients including Verizon, Samsung, Jet.com, and Johnson & Johnson.

Prior to joining R/GA, Forbes spent 13 years at Blast Radius as part of the senior management team that grew the business and ultimately sold it to WPP in 2007. As managing director for North America, he oversaw 400 employees across seven offices in both the United States and Canada and managed key clients including Starbucks, leading the strategy and execution of groundbreaking digital marketing programs.

Earlier in his career, Robin worked at Arthur Andersen, where he worked as a consultant in the Assurance and Business Advisory division. Prior to that, he helped implement a World Bank initiative in Chile to connect all of the country’s schools to the Internet and reform the national pedagogy. Forbes is a graduate of the University of British Columbia where he earned his Bachelor of Commerce in international business and Columbia University’s Business School Executive Education program, where he focused on negotiation and decision-making strategies.
