Ridley Scott Associates and Deeper Into Movies Announce Film Screening and Workshop Collaboration

RSA Films has partnered with Deeper into Movies to programme a series of films and filmmaker workshop sessions. Since 2016, Deeper Into Movies, have been finding and presenting important contemporary cinema and overlooked gems, alongside lectures on cinema and live score performances, a podcast, and monthly columns with VICE.

The heart of the new collaboration lies in creating an immersive and accessible space where film aficionados of all levels and ages can come together to discuss, dissect, and celebrate the magic of cinema.

Starting on October 4th, RSA and Deeper will host a series of ticketed screenings at Rio Cinema, Dalston, London, where attendees will also be given the opportunity to sign up for a free RSA Films filmmaker workshop. These hands-on sessions will offer practical exercises and cover a spectrum of film disciplines including cinematography, live visual production, prosthetic props crafting, writing, and directing actors.

Recognising the growing demand for accessible, non-intimidating film workshops and the scarcity of affordable entertainment options in London, the series aims to inspire and entertain whilst providing valuable insight for budding filmmakers.

The Rio screenings will also include pizza from Voodoo Rays, with the first event followed by an after party at Ridley Road Market Bar.
